Emma Holbrook is a South West-based drummer from the UK and plays in multiple contexts and styles from contemporary dance accompaniment to bands, small ensembles and her own compositions.

She has played and recorded for a wide range of artists including Stick In The Wheel, Michele Stodart (The Magic Numbers), Kathryn Williams, Chris Erasmus, Hannah White, Holly Carter, Daisy Chute, Paul James (Blowzabella), Elly Hopkins and Billie Bottle as well as playing with larger New Orleans brass ensembles such as The Brass Junkies and Tongues of Fire.

She has played live on national radio many times and has toured all over the UK, Ireland and Europe. In 2024 she joined Stick In The Wheel on their Autumn tour continuing into 2025 where they supported The Pogues on their 40th anniversary tour of ‘Rum, Sodomy and the Lash’. She has more worked planned with Stick in the Wheel for 2026 and going into 2027.

Emma is interested in groove, expression, feel and emotionality, recognising the kit as a dynamic musical instrument with unlimited potential. She likes to commit to each piece of music with intention, clarity and to play for the song with feel and passion.
